There are people out there with imagination, and then there are people out there with IMAGINATION! With the latter, some determination and money to spare, there are virtually no limits to what can be achieved.
Case in point, the Fabulous Flamingo a creation which combines a delivery truck with an aircraft to create a behemoth in the world of RVs.
This bizarre hybrid is composed of the fuselage of a Douglas R4D military transport aircraft, mated to the chassis of an International DuraStar 4400 and is the creation of Gino Lucci from Nashville, Michigan.
The unique RV stands 12’6” tall and is a substantial 38’ long. At 17,000 lbs. it is driven by the truck’s original Navistar DT466 7.6-liter engine providing between 210-300 horsepower and can reach speeds of up to 85 mph (137 km) per hour.
We won’t dare talk about fuel economy.
